The importance of wood.

The importance of wood.

Besides the fact that wood looks very beautiful aesthetically, it is a very strong building material and thus has many advantages:

  • Natural
  • Renewable
  • Long lifespan
  • Fireproof
  • Flexible
  • Highly weather resistant
  • Low risk of collapse
  • CO2 storage
  • ... and so much more!

With wood, we do not deplete the earth further, provided it is exploited in a sustainable way. Sustainable forest management takes good care of flora and fauna, but also of the soil and the water balance. By harvesting wood from sustainably managed forests, they actually grow again instead of disappearing. The forest is given the time and space to grow new trees, so wood is never exhausted. If we opt - as we once did - for materials with a biological origin such as wood, we will preserve our forests worldwide and the lungs of our earth!

Why choose wood with labels?

An easier way to know if products have a sustainable origin is to rely on labels. Sustainable forest management according to PEFC and FSC criteria provides a balance between the ecological, economic and social aspects of the forest. These certificates guarantee a follow-up of the wood flows from the forest to the store shelves.

The wood we buy from our supplier also carries both labels. This is our guarantee that the wood for our structures contributes to sustainable forest management.

All Events goes even further!

We thought hard to find a design for our structures that is sustainable. And we succeeded in doing so! Both our small and large structures have a design that guarantees each structure in itself a long life.
